Seamus Corcoran

Group Finance Director

Seamus Corcoran FCCA

Seamus Corcoran, Finance Director for IIS, began his career in accountancy back in 1985 working in small to medium sized accountancy practices whilst studying part-time for his professional qualification.

In 1996 Seamus was appointed Financial Controller for Palmer McCormack and Partners, a firm of Chartered Surveyors and Property Consultants. One year later Seamus took on the role of Financial Controller for Environmental Engineering Limited and their group of companies. The group operated primarily in the construction, technology and pharmaceutical sectors providing services as engineering design consultants, project managers, environmental consultants, facilities maintenance providers and entry automation specialists. The group had in excess 300 employees and self-employed contractors. Whilst working in practice, Seamus was the audit manager for the group and was head hunted by them when he moved to industry. The two principal companies in the group were acquired by RPS Group plc, a UK based multi-national in 2000.

Having gained a wealth of experience working with a variety of different companies, Seamus recognised the necessity for businesses to have real-time management accounting information on a continuous basis. In 2001, he decided to set up his own business, offering management accounting and business consultancy services to companies operating in the SME sector covering all business disciplines. In 2005 IIS became a client of Seamus and he continued delivering monthly management accounting services up to his appointment.

In October 2011 Morgan Browne, Managing Director of IIS, welcomed Seamus on board the IIS team, appointing him as Finance Director. Seamus brings with him an abundance of experience and expertise, having worked with almost every accounting software package at some point in time; he appreciates the true benefits that SAP Business One has to offer, not only in relation to financial management, but as a complete business solution.

Full of enthusiasm for work and life, Seamus is taking the role of Finance Director in is stride. Married with three children, two of whom are still in their teens, nothing could overwhelm Seamus, no challenge is insurmountable!
